The mission of the Syracuse Teacher Center, a single district center serving a large urban population, is to ensure that all educators grow professionally and use effective skills and strategies to help students meet the New York State Learning Standards and the Syracuse City School District Plan Goals. This is accomplished by providing, in collaboration with local educational and union organizations, support for educators and community members through professional development opportunities; a professional staff; and a state of the art resource site including computer technology lab, professional library, and equipment for creating instructional materials.
